SouthWest Road Trip               October 5-16, 2004
The Following pages contain images from our Southwest road trip of 6 states: California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico.  Michael took the photographs, I took the snapshots.  These pages are mostly our online journal/record of our trip, but anyone is welcome to check it out, if they wish.  Among the places that we visited: Lake Tahoe, Grand Canyon (North & South Rim), Bryce Canyon, Zion Ntl' Park, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde, Four Corners, Nevada Railroad Museum, Cedar City, Durango, Colorado, Bluff Fort, Route 66 through Arizona (I drove most of that route), Valley of the Gods, Las Vegas (car tour), Hoover Dam, and MANY other places (including car-camping out in the middle of the Nevada desert (after the town of Austin, Nevada, off Hwy 50). Overnight stays:  10-6-04:-Middle of the Nevada Desert 10-7-04: Harold's Place, Panguitch, Utah 10-8-04: Golden Hills Motel,  Mt. Carmel, Utah 10-9-04: Shiprock Motel, Fredonia, Arizona 10-10-04 Mokee Motel, Bluff, Utah; 10-11-04 Dave & Vivian Thompson's home, Dolores, Colorado 10-12-04: Enchantment Lodge, Aztec, New Mexico 10-13 & 14-04: Maswick Lodge, Grand Canyon, Arizona (south rim, 2 nights) 10-15-04: Mojave, Calif (only stayed an hour, then left to drive the rest of the way home - got in at 6 a.m.on the 16th, both of us with 24 hours of no sleep)!
